At Werribee Victorian Clay Target Club we offer a number of options for non-members and new shooters to come and enjoy clay target shooting in a safe and friendly environment.

We provide Getting Started packages for those who have access to a suitable firearm and those wishing to hire a club gun.

We also provide the option of having an experienced club member supervising and to assist if necessary.


Getting Started - Introduction

The induction is a compulsory one time practical and instructional information session to ensure all participants using the facilities are aware of the safety and etiquette protocol.

The course starts with a safety introduction and a practice session where you will get familiar with the equipment and learn the basic skills of clay target shooting with up to 11 others.

Following that you will be shown how to use the clubs facilities and shoot on a competition layout.

Participants must be at least 12 years of age.

  • All Equipment, Ammunition, Targets & Safety Gear (if you own a firearm, please bring it)
  • Full Safety Briefing
  • Instructor
  • Gun Hire (if required)

Getting Started - Upcoming Sessions

WVCTC will be holding Getting Started sessions on the following dates.  The entire experience will take no more than 90 minutes.  This will vary slightly based on the final group size.

  • Saturday 14th January @ 10am
  • Saturday 17th February @ 10am
  • Sunday 11th March @ 10am
  • Saturday 21st April @ 10am
  • Sunday 13th May @ 10am

PLEASE NOTE: We will require a minimum of 5 participants for a session to go ahead.

WVCTC & ACTA Membership

Becoming a member of WVCTC allows you to enjoy the club as often as you like and pay reduced fees for each round shot.

If you would like to participate in registered competitions you must be a member of the Australian Clay Target Association (ACTA).  You can join the WVCTC and ACTA at the same time and once you are an ACTA member you may compete at any clay target club within Australia.
